The Charities — Californian Soul

Formed in San Luis Obispo, the California-based band The Charities deliver an analog sound that feels familiar yet brand new, complete with smooth harmonies and songwriting reminiscent of the greats from the 60s and 70s. The band blends classic soul influences like Brenton Wood, The Delfonics, and Sunny and the Sunliners, with a nod to modern R&B.

Working alongside their frequent collaborator, writer and producer Anthony Masino (Bruno Mars, Thee Sacred Souls), The Charities created stand-out tracks from their early catalog like “Angel Eyes” and “Bring Your Love” to more recent releases through Colemine Records, including “Fatal Attraction” and “It’s Not Our Time”.

The band is workshopping new material at their sold-out live shows and anticipates releasing new music soon.
